a company is trying to open up one of our photoshop cs files (they use photoshop 7.0) and they're telling me the file cannot be opened.
Any reasons for this?
What can I do so they can open a layered/editable psd file?

you could save it as a open format like pdf or tiff, or you might try saving as an .ai
