Saving images on Photoshop CS2?

On Photoshop CS2, how do i save a semi transparent image cause it doesnt seem to let me.

i dont know how to explain it but lets just say that it has transparent parts to it.

i worked on PS7 but it doesnt work on CS2.

when i try to do it on CS2 it just saves the BG with it.

its freakin annoying

Can someone PLEASE let me know. it's frustrating me. im thinking about re installing 7 so i can save those images.
