Jpg image created in photoshop cs 3 won't show up in dreamweaver cs 3 webpage?

Help! I created an image as a jpg in photoshop cs3 and when i drag the jpg into dreamweaver cs3 the program treats it as a link, and not an image.

when i type in the html code

%26lt;img src="location of image" alt="image"%26gt; it won't show. just the words "image", or sometimes nothing at all. no other jpg i drag has this problem, only the one i create today in photoshop cs3.

is my photoshop corrupted?

the jpgs look fine, they show up in my windows explorer with no issue.
