Extracting rar. files into abr. for photoshop?

I'm downloading some brushes for my Photoshop CS2. But they are rar. format. How do I extract them into abr. so I can use them in photoshop?

I know it's something about http://www.rarlabs.com %26 winRAR, but I dont know the right thing to download, or even how to extract the files when I download it.

Assuming you have MS Windows, download the trial version of WinRAR here http://www.rarlabs.com/rar/wrar371.exe

A .RAR file is a compressed archive, like a .ZIP file. The problem is Windows cannot read a .RAR file natively. Install the program and double-click the .RAR file with the brushes in it.

Select the brushes and drag them to the PRESETS\BRUSHES directory, it will be something along these lines depending on your version of Photoshop.

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS2\Presets\Brushes

Open Photoshop and you should be all set.

Just right click on the rar file you wanna extract and then extract it. It will extract whatever file was archived....if an abr file was archived then an abr file is what you will extract.
